bash functions
here’s a quick tutorial on bash functions.
Whenever I’m in the command line and I change directories I like to have the contents shown to me immediately. How do you do that? Here’s how. (I’m using OS 10.5)
this is not what I want: nomi:~ spearson$ cd Desktop/ nomi:Desktop spearson$
Go to your home directory in the command line
nomi:~ spearson$ pico .profile

Procrastination
Ok so I have to start on my English paper soon. It’s 3-4 pages and not due until Thursday but I have to have a conference with the teacher tomorrow at 10am with 2 pages done and printed out so she can guide us or whatever. Kinda lame but at least I won’t be writing 4 pages on Wednesday night.
I’m really good at putting shit off until the last minute. I work well under pressure....

I’m sitting at work right now. I would have gone home already but The Texas Observer is sponsoring a book singing for Duchess of Palms by Nadine Eckhardt at Scholz Garten at 5:30 tonight so I’m sticking around until then. There’s also a blog post going up that I’m going to have to post on the home page. Until then though I’m just sitting here shuffling cards thinking...
