Texas Observer Home Page Redesign
I finished the new layout for the Observer home page. We want to feature more than one lead story on the home page which is the way it’s set up now. So I built a little module that cycles through selected feature stories. It’s built on top of MooTools and uses some code I borrowed from StoutLabs. I made some modifications to the code and styled it myself. Figured out a few things about CSS positioning I was having some trouble understanding.
Under that is a section featuring the cover story and under that is the current issue’s table of contents.
This isn’t going live until next week but because I love all you tumblrs I’m letting you preview it early. Enjoy and let me know if you like it.
